Theme H) Self-supporting hydrosystems and valorization

To ensure sustainable use of the ecosystem services of the river, we must look at more self-sustaining ways.  This theme focusses on the valorization of RiverCare outputs contributing to that goal.

One of the discussions about the valorization of ecosystem services that was held during a dissemination event in November 2016.

  • Decision support: A tool to help assess the effect of multiple landscaping measures on the water level and biodiversity
  • Biomass use: New insights in alternative and sustainable use of residual biomass
  • Procurement: Lessons learned on public procurement of sustainable river maintenance
  • Export: Insight in the utilization of (academic) research in practice and abroad.
